Dr.Armstrong is board-certified in internal medicine and has served the Miami area since 2004.
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Armstrong earned his degree in pre-veterinary studies from Iowa State University and is a graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine.Following veterinary school, Dr. Armstrong completed a rotating veterinary internship in VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
In 2001, under the mentorship of Mark E. Hitt, DACVIM, he completed a three-year internal medicine residency at the AVIM in Annapolis, Maryland. After his residency, he co-founded The Southeast Veterinary Referral Center in Miami, where he also served as staff internist until he sold the business in 2016.
In June of 2014, Dr. Armstrong partnered with Dr. Xavier Meaux to form Mobile Pet Imaging, a revolutionary mobile high-definition CT scan and fluoroscopy service in a mobile unit.
In 2016, Dr. Armstrong founded The Veterinary Internal Medicine Group, with its first location based out of the Jupiter Emergency and Referral Center, in Jupiter, and will also be providing Internal Medicine Mobile Services throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
