Dr. Pedro F. Armstrong
Dr. Pedro F. Armstrong was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, completed pre-veterinary studies at Iowa State University, and earned his DVM from Tuskegee University in 2000. He completed a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital followed by a three-year internal medicine residency in Annapolis, Maryland. In 2008, he co-founded The Southeast Veterinary Referral Center and The Pet Emergency Room in Miami, later selling both in 2016. Dr. Armstrong also co-founded Mobile Pet Imaging in 2014 and established The Veterinary Internal Medicine Group in 2016, providing mobile internal medicine services across South Florida. His clinical interests include endoscopy, advanced imaging, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and diseases of the gastrointestinal, urinary, and endocrine systems. A frequent lecturer and Idexx Key Opinion Leader, Dr. Armstrong is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys boating, fishing, biking, and swimming with his family.
